F*ck Taco Tuesday

Every damn day is Taco Tuesday.

The best tacos in MKE go to.....Gypsy Taco (someone tell me I'm wrong, I dare you). While this is a big claim and I certainly have not tasted every taco Milwaukee has to offer, I have a hard time believing much can beat this delicious creations. And not just the tacos were great, but the atmosphere takes home the cake taco too.

Served out of a food truck on the back patio of Boone & Crockett, Gypsy Taco serves up their tasty tacos in a private and relaxing space that will feel just like you're sitting in your friends backyard spending hours drinking and downing all things taco. With food trucks taking such a huge leap in popularity, this space is everything you love about summer with a trendy touch.

Dishing up their "OG" menu, as well as seasonal creations, these tacos go beyond the typical beans and rice. With choices for all, meat or not, your taste buds will thank you. I tried their daily menu (served Tuesday-Sunday starting at 4PM) and brunch menu (yes, brunch--served Saturday and Sunday from 12-3PM) all in one week. As the saying goes, find what you love and never let it go. I don't know who said that, but someone somewhere at some point has said it. ANYWAY, I loved these tacos and had to head back for more. We tried the roasted root vegetable, the crispy oyster mushroom, and the fried green tomato tacos from their daily menu, along with the cup of corn and churros from their "Other Shit." It's hard to say which was my favorite because I don't know that I could pick. Each taco was crafted with the perfect balance of ingredients and if you're looking for something to spice things up, they have an endless selection of hot sauce. For brunch, we enjoyed the patio to ourselves and the potato, egg and cheese taco, as well as the Dirty Gypsy Hash, a jumble of ingredients that will make your mouth very happy.

Oh, and the drinks aren't bad either. During brunch, I gave one of their ciders a try and stole a sip of the grapefruit mead they had on tap from my brunch buddy. For dinner, I grabbed a specialty cocktail called Totes Litz Mango at the patio bar that paired perfectly with my array of tacos.

While I am ashamed that it's taken me this long to try Gypsy Taco, I'm glad that I have finally been exposed to the wonders of their tacos and will be back way too often.

See you Sunday, NOT Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday because every damn day is TT.
