Donut worry, be happy!
Once upon a time at a drive thru on Oakland lived the yummiest mini donuts you ever did eat. The Drive-Thru, owned and operated by Chubby's Cheesesteak, is located on Oakland and North Avenue, a neighborhood full of great food and cafes. Honestly, I can't believe I have not had these little bites of heaven until now. They're simple and classic with powdered and cinnamon sugar, but oh so delicious. As the saying goes, less is more and these donuts hold true with no glitz or glam. We added a raspberry dipping sauce, but it wasn't necessary and are best with sugar alone.
Now, onto the ambiance. No frills, but it's cute and an enjoyable place to have a snack on a nice day. This weekend was unusually warm for February in Wisconsin, so we took full advantage and sat at one of their outdoor tables. And while it's called the Drive-Thru, there is a walk up window too if you're out wandering the city as we were. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast option or a mid-day snack, this is a perfect option.
